The mission of the Idaho Women’s Charitable Foundation’s Pooled Grant Program is to research and nominate proposals for the ballot that best meet the criteria of the Idaho Women’s Charitable Foundation. A committee of members manages the annual pooled grant program. IWCF funds nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations serving southwestern Idaho.
The criteria are:
Addressing a critical or immediate community need
Supports new directions (start-up charitable ventures or new projects of established groups)
Creating innovative approaches to time-worn problems
The guiding principle will be to select projects that because of their existence will make a significant impact within the greater Treasure Valley and to annually choose projects for funding that reflect the breadth of member interest. This includes Cultural Arts, Education, Environment, Financial Stability and Health, and any other new areas of interest deemed appropriate by the membership.
IWCF will do this by:
Involving all interested members as committee members
Researching & defining community needs
Researching & evaluating proposals
Nominating finalists that will make a significant impact
Through a majority vote of the entire membership, identify fund beneficiaries
